Vejer de la Frontera
Discover Vejer, in the province of Cadiz, Andalusia, a picturesque, hilltop town surrounded by orchards and orange groves overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar and the Moroccan coastline.
Vejer is home to many historical monuments and buildings that combine Moorish and Roman culture, making it a mecca for history enthusiasts. Much of the architecture recalls the period of Moorish rule, which lasted from 711 until the town was captured by San Fernando of Castile in 1248.
Thanks to its geographical location, fascinating history, top-flight cuisine and, of course, unique charm, Vejer is one of the most spectacular locations in the area.

Beaches
One of Vejer’s many delights is the easy access it affords to local beaches, from which you can choose between the fine-sand of El Palmar and a series of sandy coves where fresh water reaches the beach via the sandstone cliffs of Cape Trafalgar (scene of the famous battle).
- El Palmar – 10 km
- Playa del Carmen, Barbate – 10 km
- Mangueta Beach – 11 km
- Zahora Beach – 12 km
- Trafalgar Bay – 14 km
- Los Caños – 15 km
